One of my favorite photographers of all time, Elizaveta Porodina, opened her first exhibition at Bikini Berlin at Tiergarten.
The photography-genius, who was born in Russia and now lives in Germany, is still quite young but her pictures are very elegant in a very melacholy way, thats why I cant get enough of them.
I discovered her a few years ago – not sure how I found her tho – since then I adore her photography and got a lot of inspiration out of it.
We first met in person at the fashionshow of Marina Hoermanseder in 2015 after being Facebook friends for a while. She’s massively creative and also a total smart and emphatic person who lives for her art.
The exhibition at Bikini Berlin is called DARK ICONOGRAPHY. The space is unfortunately quite small so she was just able to show a few of her marvelous pictures.
The muse of Elizaveta is Lou Schoof, a friend of mine that I know from my time working at a model agency. Lou is shown on several pictures at the exhibition which was kind of surreal and magic for me. The first thing after entering the location was to sent Lou a selfie of me in front of her picture – that’s what friends are doing.
Dark Iconography is just shown one month at Bikini Berlin, so you have to be fast if you want to check it out – and you definietly should!
Elizaveta Porodina will leave her mark in the world of photography, i’m sure about it.
