Summer holidays are in my opinion the perfect time to have great city trips. This Week I’ve been to Florence for the first time in my live. I always wanted to travel there but never really made it. The city is wonderful, so was my hotel. I was lucky having the opportunity to stay in the beautiful and modern Glance Hotel Florence.

Florence is known for its pretty tuscany architecture, small alleys and of course the duomo. That’s why nothing could hold me back this August to finally visit the city of art and literature. My mum was joining me on this trip and we both fell in love with Florence. We walked for ages and were pretty exhausted by more then 15.000 steps a day. That’s why we were more than happy to stay in our wonderful hotel in Florence called GLANCE.

The whole building has a modern and minimalistic touch, so do the rooms. We arrived very early in the morning to Florence at about 8am. Check in was at 2pm but the more than friendly welcome in the reception sweetened our morning. We had the opportunity to store our luggage at the hotel until our room was ready to move in, so we went to the city meanwhile. The hotel is super central, its just a 2 minute walk to Via Faenza, from where are all restaurants start to show. 3 minutes further you already stay in front of the Duomo.

Coming back at 1.30pm our room was already made, so we went straight upstairs in the 3 floor. Our luggage was waiting in our about 15m2 room, with view into the patio. As a welcome we got this delicious etagere with fresh fruits, which was definitely a plus. The room was furnished in a minimalistic way and had this warm lights put in the walls, which gave the room this special look. The huge bed was more then comfortable and let me sleep so good.

The modern bathroom had the perfect size and a huge rain shower I could have spend ages in. Bathrooms are always very important for me, because I spend a lot of time in there, as a recreation room if you want to say so.

Me and my mum spent mostly every evening on the rooftop, having drinks or tanning at the pool area. The pool area was at the beginning of the rooftop. From the pool you have a perfect view on the city and the hills with all its cypresses. Next to the pool you have a lovely lounge where you can lay on the couches and relax. On the other side of the rooftop you have a bar and some tables, to have lunch, work or just enjoying the view.

In the mornings we enjoyed our breakfast in the patio. A rich italian breakfast buffet was built up where you could choose between prosciutto, italian cheese and vegetables as much as pancakes and scambled eggs.

All in all we couldn’t have a better stay in Florence. Top staff, perfect comfort and a beautiful rooftop. Nothing more to wish. For this and many more reasons i can totally recommend the hotel and I’m glad spending my days there.
